"Kal Se Behtar Aaj, Aaj Se Behtar Kal" Avyansh Welfare Society is a Non-Governmental Organization actively working for issues like Mental Health, Women Empowerment & Public Welfare in its area of operation. Our vision is to create awareness around the issues we promote and help in developing acceptance for the people who suffer from mental health issues.
Started with the support of a handful of individuals who wanted to be the change in the society, Avyansh was born out of a noble idea that saw good support. With the help of volunteers who understood the pains of those who couldn’t always understand their own, today, we are a group of like-minded individuals who work around the clock to make this world a more comfortable place for our residents.
Through the twenty years of our existence, we have been a flagbearer for mental well-being & one of the first rehabilitation centers for the mentally challenged & differently-abled in Bhopal. The founder and the current principal of the Avyansh Welfare School Mrs Manjula Thakur has devoted her career to addressing social issues such as women empowerment, mental health education, family counselling. Through her perseverance & dedicated efforts, Avyansh has launched a string of focus initiatives today that give a glimmer of hope in the lives of our residents here.
The NGO currently has one branch in Bhopal & plans to upgrade its amenities to make the school more inclusive & enjoyable to anyone looking for help. Apart from providing day boarding facilities with meals and stay, we conduct many fun activities & exercises daily to encapsulate the creative faculties of the residents and make sure they are given proper medical consultation every (TIME Frame) days/weeks/months to help them improve one step at a time.

According to (_source_) studies, around 450 million people currently suffer from at least one mental condition, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of ill-health and disability worldwide. The rapid rise in the number of mental health cases around the country is alarming, and we felt that there is a critical need to educate the masses about the treatments available.
Due to infrastructural deficiencies, nearly two-thirds of people with a known mental disorder never seek help from a professional either due to gaps in the supply of mental health doctors or the lack of awareness about available support, service & assistance. Stigma, discrimination, and neglect are prevalent issues that hinder care and treatment from reaching people with mental disorders, says the World Health Organization (WHO's Report, 2001).
We firmly believe that mental illnesses can be cured & are committed to the betterment of individuals who come to us for help. According to reports published by (_SOURCE_), One in four people in the world is affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives & as an organisation, one of our big picture goals is to work for improving that ratio.
Kal se behtar aaj, aaj se behtar Kal roughly translates to “moving towards a better tomorrow, one day at a time” acts as our guiding principle every day to take better care of our residents & anyone who contacts us for help. We are a volunteer-driven organisation and are on the active lookout for people with passion who want to join hands with us.
We are here to help people in society. If you need any kind of care or Support for your Family we will be more than happy to help you. Just Reach to us.
